Madrid is a lovely city, but after a week in the countryside I can’t help feeling a little cooped up.

Today was mostly spent traipsing around town with a backpack, finding accommodation, waiting for check-in, finding food and planning my long run tomorrow.

Tomorrow should be my longest run, and I’m aiming to do between 20 and 22 miles (hopefully avoiding the rain!) heading out of the city on the first stage of the Camino de Madrid.

Whilst I’m running I’ll be thinking of Gray, Paul and Nicky who are racing tomorrow, and my dear husband Scot who is starting his pilgrimage from Leon tomorrow. I’ll do my best to send loads of Chi to each of you!
