Unless you count packing for my Chi Running camp in Costa Brava, Saturday didn’t involve too much in the way of marathon prep.
So I’m going to distract you from my laziness with the story of my amazing sister-in-law Jemma Southgate who ‘cruised’ through her first ever marathon yesterday in 3hrs 38mins.
What makes this accomplishment even more spectacular is that she managed to make her last month of training work even though she was travelling through the US – living out of a tiny mustang and sleeping in an even teensier tent.
As I start my final month – worried about the amount of travelling and potential distractions ahead of me – it gives me hope that I can stay the course and enjoy my own marathon experience.
