For every up, there is a down. And thank goodness there is so we can appreciate the difference.

I slept awfully last night and despite feeling rushed and rough this morning I dutifully pushed myself out for my scheduled run. Normally the challenge is just getting out the door and once I’m into the run, it comes together. But after two miles of pushing, I was still feeling pretty awful so without feeling any guilt I stopped and parked the remaining miles for a different time and place

I only had another two miles to do, so in some ways it would have been easier to keep going. But I realised that an extra couple of miles completed right here and right now, won’t win me a race. But listening to my body, and ensuring that running is fun and relaxing, just might!
